Job summary This is a role for a Senior Care Assistant to support the care team in delivering high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff at Avery Healthcare's Priory Court Care Home in Stamford.
Main duties of the job As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended.
You will also be involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
Additionally, you will support residents with their medication requirements, undertake staff supervisions, and act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, visitors, and health/social care professionals.

If this sounds like the place for you, wed love to hear from youABOUT THE ROLEYour focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.Other responsibilitieswillinclude: Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.ABOUT YOUTo be successful in your application, youwill live our values of caring,supportive,honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do.Our ideal candidatemust: Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.
Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential To be successful in this role, you must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes and 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment.
You should also have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff, and be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
