About us
Grange Cottage Residential Care Home is a small, privately owned residential care home that prides itself on a home from home environment and a true person centred approach, with care ranging from social support to advanced dementia and palliative care.
Senior Care Assistant
Gentle, empathetic person sought as Senior Carer in a small residential home for elderly people. An NVQ level 2 Health & Social Care required and the desire to learn and progress is essential as the employer will be willing to sponsor the suitable candidates to Level 3 and beyond. Previous experience in a care role including dementia care is desired, but most importantly we will be looking for demonstration of respect, engaging well with others, and supporting dignity and independence of our residents, and own responsibility to work independently with integrity.
Duties include leading a small team, promoting care and respect, attending to clients' personal care and social care and activities and assisting in the preparation of meals and domestic duties. A successful candidate must have good written and verbal skills. Successful applicants will be aged 18+ as personal care is involved, and are required to provide an enhanced disclosure and two references (one personal and one recent relevant employer). Disclosure expense will be met by employer with terms and conditions. The employer has claimed an exception under the Equality Act 2010.
