Job summary Due to recent investment in the Clinical Coding team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, we are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Clinical Coder to join our team at Mid and South Essex Foundation Trust.

You will be supported by our team of experienced trainers to help develop your existing skills and in learning new ones.
Main duties of the job Applicants are required to:Possess the National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ) UK or be willing to work towards it at some point in the future.Have experience of using ICD-10 and classifications in an acute hospital settingBe experienced in clinical coding for a wide range of specialtiesHave extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiologyBe willing to work as part of a team to meet tight deadlines About us Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is now one of the largest in the country, with a workforce of approximately 15,000 who serve a population of million people.We work together, and in conjunction with MSE Health and Care Partnership, to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients in a compassionate way, and provide a respectful, but vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.From facilities through to consultant specialists we want to be the best, to achieve this we need to recruit not just those who are the finest in their field but also those who have the potential to be.

Job description Job responsibilities This is a Senior Clinical Coder post at Band 5; consideration will be given to non-accredited coders subject to assessment.
