Support Time Recovery Worker

Job summary A fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant and dynamic Older Adult Community Mental Health Team, providing community-based service to Older Adults and their carers who are experiencing serious mental health disorders.
The job purpose is for the post holder to contribute to the treatment of patient's recovery at the key stages of their journey through mental health services and engagement with their community.The overall role is to provide advice and support to the Service Users and their carers focusing on positive outcomes.
The role also involves networking with other agencies.
Main duties of the job The post holder will implement specific areas of the care plan that have been planned and designed by senior clinicians in the service, either within patients own homes or in the clinic settings.
They will promote a therapeutic relationship with agreed boundaries and time scales, providing regular support over a specified time-period targeted at the patients.
The post holder will provide support with daily living and the normalisation of clients' lives, and will be expected to join clinicians to assess routine and urgent referrals.

To promote a therapeutic relationship with agreed boundaries and time scales.
Provide regular support over a specified time-period targeted at the patients.
Provide support with daily living and the normalisation of clients lives.
Assist clients in the completion of standardised assessments in line with the services assessment protocol.
To join clinicians to co assess routine and urgent referrals.
Join clinicians to conduct thorough risk assessments, liaising with other staff as required.
In undertaking home visits, be mindful of risk assessment protocols, ensuring that all initial assessment visits occur with appropriate support from other mental health staff.
To develop educational tools for clients and their families and other professionals, and promotional material in relation to the services operation.
To undertake specific administrative duties as required.
Documentation, in line with Oxford Health policy and procedures.
This includes responsibility for writing clinical notes, uploading documents and any other correspondence onto electronic recording systems.
Be aware of the safeguarding processes and how to identify potential abuse and raise this with the appropriate authority.
To take part in working groups both inside and outside the organisation as required.
Person Specification Qualification Essential Maths and English GCSE Desirable NVQ level 3 or equivalent Experience Essential Experience of working in a care setting and/or education/social care setting Some experience and/or knowledge of mental health Desirable Previous experience of working with older adults in a professional/voluntary capacity Experience of working in a mental health community setting Personal attributes Essential Self-reliant and able to work flexibly both individually and in a team Ability to communicate effectively with older adults experiencing mental health difficulties Ability to communicate/listen formally and informally, verbally and in writing.
Caring and supportive attitude but with the ability to be firm.
