Spearhead new business sales activity into Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 accounts across UK, IRE and Pre-Selected EU territories, as well as expanding the sales pipeline with existing Displaydata customers.
Establish a professional working, and consultative relationship with clients, up to and including C level contacts, by developing a core understanding of each client's business requirements.
Ensure that Displaydatas direct sales strategy throughout the region is consistent with the overall companys sales plan.
ABOUT DISPLAYDATA Displaydata is the leader in the design and supply of fully graphic electronic shelf labels (ESLs).
We were first to market with three-color ESLs and continue to lead this category, having shipped millions of labels.
We work in close partnership with many of the worlds largest retail brands and have operations in the UK, U.S., Europe, LATAM, and Asia.
We help retailers optimize revenues and margins by improving the customer experience at the shelf-edge, where most purchasing decisions are made.
Displaydatas ESLs, enable retailers to control and drive in-store pricing and promotions with speed, agility, and consistency.
Fully graphic and available in three colours, the ESLs can display product, price, promotion, stock levels, social reviews, currency details, and much more.
Displaydatas ESLs are part of an architecture designed in partnership with retailers to be enterprise ready.
The trusted platform is simple to install and needs the least amount of in-store hardware of any vendor.
The wireless network is secure, and the robust software enables the centralized management of any number of ESLs, across any number of stores.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES Reporting to the SVP Sales, the Sales Executive is a hands-on new business, direct sales role targeting Tier 1 & Tier 2 and Tier 3 retailers for multi-million-pound electronic shelf-edge (ESL) display solutions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Drive all aspects of direct sales in region, from initial lead generation through to successful customer engagement.
Establish long term relationships with senior decision makers in the major retailers, ensuring that Displaydata solutions can meet their business requirements.
Articulate Displaydatas value proposition and maintain knowledge of competitive solutions to effectively position Displaydata as the ESL supplier of choice.
Develop creative strategies to increase ESL market share with existing direct customers.
Work closely with the financial team in preparing pricing models for customer proposals.
Produce accurate monthly forecasts against revenue targets and work closely with pre-sales and product marketing to manage the pipeline and set appropriate monthly and quarterly revenue expectations using defined CRM and forecasting tools.
Present high quality, professional presentations and proposals to senior decision makers.
Capture key market data and business trends from the client base and feedback to Displaydata senior management.
PERSON SPECIFICATION Knowledge / Experience Ability to present, negotiate and close complex business deals at C level A consistent track record in developing new business revenue from initial sales lead through to multi-million-pound revenues desirable Demonstrate a track record of creating and executing sales strategies, showing innovation and commercial success or if coming from a retail background have strong track record of creating and delivering innovations / improvements in in-store operations that improved sales or margins Experience in working on an international level, possessing the tact and sensitivity when dealing with different business cultures A strong technology awareness and understanding of the benefits of Cloud/Enterprise software over legacy, in-store server based solutions.
Ability to collaboratively work with other team members to achieve desired goals and objectives both internal and external Broad and deep experience of retail, either working for a retailer or selling into Tier One or Tier Two Retailers or CVS channels Strong understanding of the principles and processes associated with managing price changes across a large-scale retail operation and the margin improvements associated with price and data accuracy at the shelf edge, merchandising accuracy, promotions and mark downs, planogram compliance etc.
Proficient in MS Office.
Language skills: English.
