**********Ocean documentation process essential********Scope of Position:Ensure the accurate and timely movement of freight and information of exports out of EU and UK worldwide, while providing exceptional customer service and ownership of processes.Support both Forwarder and client Shipping Team in shipping from Europe, managing bookings and creating export documentation.Major Duties and Responsibilities:First contact for key customers with responsibility to build strong relationships and resolve issues in a timely mannerLiaise with Maersk control tower for operational tasks and issuesTracking and tracing shipments for customersMaintain accurate customer information for shipment processingUnderstand team process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiencyEnsure all customers standard operating procedures are followed as per work instructionsBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with the customer, load sites but also our branches involved in organising shipmentsBook orders received with the nominated shipping line or forwarderEnsure that container loading is booked in to Trans wide. Liaise with client loading sites to resolve problems on loadingCoordinate Conformity Inspections at our loading sites prior to export where requiredEnsure that Shipping documentation is accurateEnsure every shipment file have all necessary auditable documentsProvide exceptional customer service to the client team and ensure proactivity also in our communicationsSupport team priorities and initiatives to ensure workloads are effectively managedEnsure accurate and timely data entry into our operating systemSend original documents when required in a timely mannerDrive process improvements to ensure right-first-time customer serviceMeet compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer’s policies / requirementsEnsure all customers standard operating procedures are followed and updated in the WorkflowMeet KPI standards, as per the company’s proceduresHandling and actioning of complaints or queriesProposing solutions to customers of preferred method of freight movement (ocean to air, consolidation at gateways etc)Personal Development:Training and tagging with team members to learn ocean processOn the job training will be provided.Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements1-2 years related experience and/or trainingUnderstanding of Ocean documentation process essentialEffective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.Pro-active, strong organizational skills.Knowledge of SAPGood computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Fluent in English.Displayed positive team attitude and work ethicCompetent understanding of INCOTERMS and shipping jargonCompetent understanding of Forwarder systems, ETMS, Edoc, Expo
