The Arts & Entertainment division owns and runs some of the UK’s biggest festivals and events, from Big Feastival, Taste of London, Hampton Court Palace Festival, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland and Glide at Battersea Power Station. We are looking for an experienced salesperson to join our team to sell brand activations and partnership packages for Big Feastival. Big Feastival is a family, food, drink, and music festival held on Alex James’ Farm in The Cotswolds over the August Bank Holiday weekend, which attracts over 70,000 people over the 3 days.The Senior Sales Executive will focus on maximizing revenue to meet or exceed targets for their assigned shows. They will be responsible for selling stands and brand activations for Big Feastival and will provide clients with efficient and professional customer care. In addition, the successful candidate will have a passion for live events and have sales experience, as they will play a key role in supporting both the Taste of London and Hampton Court Palace festivals.Key Responsibilities And AccountabilitiesMaximise all potential revenue to achieve/exceed event targets.Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.Achieve and maintain high activity (over 40 dials a day – 5 effective calls)Achieve agreed weekly and monthly sales targetsArrange and attend meetings with potential new clientsProactively lead source from all other mediumsMaintain, develop and manage sales database including record of key contacts and sales communicationWork closely with members of the sales team to develop ideas and approachesReport on sales activity and sales results on demandAbility to manipulate/translate visitor-marketing strategies/plans into exhibitor sales benefits.Maintain and update floor plan.Ability to write sales mailers to the databaseLiaise with other internal departments/functions – marketing, operations, conferences, accounts, PR etc.Conduct client meetings and networking activities confidentlyEnsure re-booking process is implemented to achieve required targetsRetain integrity of events by adhering to set processes and maintaining high yieldDevelop an in depth understanding of the market landscapeContribute ideas to develop the event – read trade press, knowledge to spot new opportunitiesExecute a consistent and well thought out sales communication scheduleAble to take a brief, manage your own agenda and deliver on it independentlyEnsure all agreed processes are adhered to and implemented with excellent attention to detailCreate a customer care programme to maintain strong relationships, ensures excellent on site deliver and drives show loyaltyUnusual Challenges or CircumstancesRegular weekend work where you may be required to travel to events in line with the Arts & Entertainment portfolio, including The Big Feastival and Natural History Museum Ice Rink.Outside of event travel, there will be a requirement to travel for meetings as part of the role.Key Results AreasAll personal targets are achieved and exceededAll lead show targets are achieved and exceededAll communication is answered within the agreed timeframesAll clients have a dependable and personal serviceAll development responsibilities are delivered to set performance targetsYou are an active contributor to the entire sales teamCreative thinker, able to enhance the event content through unique ideas and develop sponsorship-level client relationshipsComprehensive knowledge of the campaign with weekly and monthly accurate sales forecastingKnowledge And ExperienceDemonstrable/established experience in sales/ event salesMinimum of 3 years sales experience, ideally in event salesHigh IT competency; knowledge and experience of all Microsoft Office programmesGood telesales experience and resultsExperience of sales planningSkills & Abilities (Personal And Professional)Organised with high attention to detailExcellent communication skills both written and verbalCommercially aware yet customer focusedAble to work and deliver under pressureAbility to deliver results through othersInitiative and solution led thinkingWorking ConditionsThe work location is Chiswick Park, London.This is a permanent contract.Working hours are 9-5 pm.Occasional weekend work where you may be required to travel to eventsOccasional outside of event travel, there will be a requirement to travel for meetings as part of the role
