Injection Moulding Setter

Mission:Reporting to the Injection Moulding Manager, the Machine Setter is expected to manage the injection moulding machine setup and changeover process.This will include the setup, changeover and TPM of machines as well as ensuring that work is undertaken to the company H&S and quality standards, whilst proactively identifying areas for improvement.Within their respective shift they will support and lead the machine minders and when working shift patterns where the Manager is not on site, co-ordinate tasks with the Supervisor as well as tend machines to maintain production targets.Responsibilities:Lead changeovers of tooling and ancillary equipment on shiftCo-ordinate and lead the changeover of tooling on shift ensuring that machine waiting time for changeover is minimisedSet-up machine, ensuring first-offs and product checks indicate compliance with quality standards for full production runTooling setup within machines in an efficient manner and product produced that meets specification.Undertake TPM on machines to scheduleEnsure allocated TPM are completed as required, minimising potential downtimeRecord setup details and process adjustments, highlighting changes required to standard instructionsEnsure setup and process settings are updated accordingly so ensuring production and quality standards are maintainedEnsure tooling is left in production state when removed and record and highlight tooling maintenance requirements to Tool room team promptlyTooling downtime and breakdowns are minimisedSupport machine minders during shift, working closely to ensure that changeovers and downtime are minimised, and quality standards are maintainedScrap, downtime and productivity standards are achievedRun machines when tool changes and process monitoring is completed.Cover necessary breaks within the production area.Work closely with the Material Handler to ensure that materials availability is co-ordinated with changeovers and production schedules.Co-ordinate and lead his work when not on shift with the Production SupervisorMachine downtime minimised due to material shortagesEnsure 5S standards are maintained and the workplace is kept clean and tidyProduction efficiency maximised with no incidents due to poor 5S standardsAt Schneider Electric, Diversity & Inclusion is at the heart of our organisation, it's an integral part of our history, culture, and identity.We recognise that embracing diversity unlocks innovation and creativity and fosters collaboration.
