**Job Description Summary**: The Technical Operator, will assist the on shift Engineering Technician and Production Technicians within the Building 2 moulding department.

The Technical Operator will report to the Engineering Technician and will assist on the technical aspects relating to the plastic injection moulding processes.

We have a continuous night shift position available with an attractive shift premium of 48%.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Safe start up and shut down of plastic injection moulding machines.

Batch changes

Colour changes

Assist with mould tool installation and removal

Assist with the maintenance of the moulding machines and ancillary equipment

Respond to machine alarms

Perform all duties assigned by the Engineering Technician as and where necessary.

To be aware of the required quality standards in the work areas allocated and be capable of performing to the required acceptable quality levels.

To be able to recognise sub-standard product and report it to the Engineering Technician.

Work efficiently and co-operate with Leaders, Technicians, and fellow associates always to meet required production targets.

Be familiar with products and operational procedures.

Maintain equipment and allocated work areas in a clean and safe condition at all times.

Must confirm to the hygiene requirements specified on those allocated work areas.

Performs all manufacturing operations involving optimum observation of environmental and Good Manufacturing Practice requirements to meet Company expectations and customer satisfaction.

To maintain logs and records as required in connection with the process.

**EXPERIENCE**:
Ideally would have a minimum of three years’ experience in a production environment, although training will be provided. Mechanical or electrical experience will be an advantage.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
There are no specific qualifications required.

Individuals have the authority to execute all responsibilities detailed within their job description and any procedures or processes in C2C or otherwise.
