We are currently in search of an Accounting Assistant to provide accurate financial information and reports and undertake a full range of finance related duties. Along with a competitive salary between £33,183 - £38,329 we also offer great benefits such as; 25 days holiday plus bank holidays which increases up to 28 days with serviceLong service recognition 24/7 access to Mental health support & counselling servicesEye care vouchers with funding towards glasses Contractual sick pay Long service recognition Paid volunteering opportunities within the communityKey Responsibilities:Analysis & reporting against the NPg contracts providing commercial support to operations in terms of project analysis / dispute Analysis and enhancement of charging for restoration workOvertime analysis/reporting – project scope to analyse working hours/overtime claimsProductivity reporting and timesheet analysisSupport Scotland operations, particularly reclaiming VAT on POC chargesWIP / added value analysis Assisting operations with key customer analysis and reports Assist with corporate plan productionCash management reporting to TreasuryIUS Ireland financial reporting including regulatory/legislative obligationsProduction of regulatory reporting pack alongside monthly reconciliations and Management reporting to both senior and contract managers.Cost variance analysis (operating/direct), assist with external audit as directed and complete monthly WIP reconciliation Business and financial reportsPrepare month end accruals and reconciliationsOther ad hoc duties as directed by the Finance ManagerKey Competencies:Excellent communication skills at all levelsKnowledge of core financial systemsCommercial experienceCapable of working independently or as part of a teamEssential Qualifications & Experience:Minimum 5 GCSE’s or equivalent at Grade C or above including English and Math’sAAT/CIMA membershipMS Office Suite (excel, word, Outlook and ideally access)Understanding of Management Accounting processesDesirable Qualifications & Experience:ACCA part qualifiedFinance background
