We are currently recruiting for both permanent positions and 12-month fixed-term contracts as part of our ongoing recruitment campaign. We are particularly interested in candidates with previous investigative experience, including managing high caseloads, and who are either immediately available or able to start at short notice. Purpose and Main DutiesThis is a critical role within the Fitness to Practise team, where our Case Managers gather and assess information to ensure that the right regulatory action is taken to manage any risk to public protection. Our colleagues need to be empathetic and aware of our aim of being a compassionate regulator in all of our interactions. The role operates in a highly pressurised and fast paced, collaborative environment where individuals contribute to the team. However, Case Managers are also personally responsible for their own case work and for maintaining high standards of performance and professional practice, meeting challenging objectives around quantity, quality, timeliness, impact and customer service. Case Managers are expected to operate with minimal guidance and supervision, demonstrating a high degree of resilience and confidence in their work. As we receive high volumes of complaints, case managers are expected to demonstrate effective workload management skills and proportionate decision making. Some key primary duties and responsibilities include:Planning and investigating a varied caseload, effectively progressing cases through to the next stage of investigation in a timely fashion.Proactively progressing enquiries, ensuring all necessary information and evidence is obtained and made available for the Investigating Committee Panel in line with set service standards and key performance indicators.Working constructively with our external stakeholders to ensure that your cases are proactively progressed in line with our policies, guidance and processes.Accurately assessing the risk presented in fitness to practise cases and ensuring that high-risk cases are quickly identified, prioritised and progressed for an Interim Order in line with service standards and key performance indicators.Analysing information and making sound, evidence-based decisions on the progression or conclusion of cases, ensuring any changes in risk are quickly identified as the case progresses and develops.
