Supply Chain ManagerRole Summary:We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team and report to the Chief Commercial Officer. This role requires a proactive, solutions-focused leader with strong communication skills and solid technical expertise. You will oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring efficient material flow, cost-effective sourcing, and excellent service to internal and external stakeholders. You will also play a key role in supplier management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across the organisation.Key Responsibilities:Supplier ManagementIdentify, assess, and manage qualified suppliers.Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and quality standards.Monitor supplier KPIs, manage underperformance, and maintain strong vendor relationships.Material SourcingDevelop cost-effective sourcing strategies and ensure materials meet specifications.Lead strategic procurement for electrolyser systems and track global supply market trends.Collaborate with R&D, production, and logistics to plan future material needs and ensure efficient storage and transport.Cost ControlManage supply chain budgets and ensure cost-effective purchasing.Identify savings opportunities, optimise supplier terms, and track key cost metrics.Supply Chain OperationsOversee daily material flow aligned with production schedules.Coordinate with internal teams and logistics providers to optimise lead times.Manage inventory levels and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.Mentor team members and support departmental workload during absences.Risk ManagementDevelop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks, including shortages and geopolitical factors.Monitor market dynamics and maintain contingency plans for critical materials.Documentation & ComplianceMaintain accurate records of contracts and purchasing activities.Ensure compliance with regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.Quality AssuranceSet material quality standards with QA teams and monitor supplier performance.Conduct audits, resolve quality issues, and support continuous improvement.LeadershipLead and develop a high-performing supply chain team.Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.Align supply chain objectives with wider business goals.Skills & ExperienceStrong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Proficient with ERP systems, supply chain software, and data analytics.Experience managing supply chain risks and working with global suppliers.Knowledge of ISO standards and industry compliance.5–7+ years' supply chain management experience, ideally in manufacturing.Proven success in supplier management, sourcing, and cost control in complex environments.
