We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Reception Teacher to join our vibrant Early Years team starting in January 2024. If you are passionate about early childhood education, enjoy fostering curiosity, and have a strong understanding of purposeful play, this is the perfect opportunity for you
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a Reception class with a focus on EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum.
* Deliver high-quality phonics lessons using the Sounds Write programme.
* Create an engaging environment that fosters exploratory and investigative play.
* Provide a balance of structured and free play activities to enhance children’s learning and development.
* Collaborate closely with our EYFS Lead and a team of support staff, including a Teaching Assistant (TA) and 1:1 TA.
* Support children with additional needs while ensuring all learning opportunities are inclusive and accessible.
* Plan and implement activities that promote purposeful play and learning, ensuring all children are engaged and challenged at their level.
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified teacher with experience in Early Years.
* Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and its application in daily practice.
* Experience in using phonics programmes, particularly Sounds Write.
* A positive, patient, and nurturing approach to teaching.
* Confident in managing children with additional needs and promoting inclusive learning.
* Ability to work as part of a team, with strong communication skills to engage with colleagues, parents, and children.
* A passion for creating a calm, focused learning environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired.
