Day Rate: up to £600 per day.

We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer for a 12-month contract role to support the build and management of Azure infrastructure for hosting third-party applications in a banking environment. This position is fully remote, with occasional travel to London for key meetings or project milestones.
The successful candidate will have strong Azure infrastructure experience, combined with hands-on DevOps capabilities, and a background in the banking or financial services sector. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure cloud solutions, including automation and CI/CD pipelines, while ensuring high standards of security, compliance, and performance.

DevOps Pipeline Implementation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment, scaling, and monitoring of applications and infrastructure in Azure.
Security and Compliance: Ensure all Azure environments adhere to industry security standards and compliance requirements, particularly those relevant to banking and financial services.
Automation and Configuration Management: Utilize tools like Terraform, Ansible, or ARM templates for infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate the deployment and management of Azure resources.
Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to track system performance, detect issues, and optimize infrastructure costs and performance.
Proven experience in Azure cloud infrastructure design and management , including compute, storage, networking, and security.
Strong DevOps experience , including CI/CD pipeline development (using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, etc.).
Previous experience in the banking or financial services sector is essential, with a strong understanding of the security and compliance requirements.
Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) , Azure Networking , and Azure Security tools .
Solid scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Azure certifications , such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Microsoft Certified: Experience with network segmentation and security controls in cloud environments.
Experience with Azure Policy, Blueprints, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) .
