We’re currently looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our finance team at our AkzoNobel site in Goole . You’ll support the Finance Manager with providing a fully comprehensive finance support function to the site, whilst maintaining a strong financial control environment to ensure accuracy and integrity of information.

This role is being offered on a temporary 9-month FTC , working Monday to Friday, during office hours.

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000.00 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and our continued focus on internal promotions, over 56% last year

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports
  • Assist with the month end close process, balance sheets and revenue reconciliation
  • Preparing cross charges and liaising with other sites for approval to process these cross charges
  • Creation of charging documents and raising sales invoices

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Completion of or studying towards a professional qualification such as AAT, CIMA or ACCA is desirable
  • Past experience within a financial role within a similar business or environment
  • High level of accuracy & attention to detail, with an analytical mindset
  • The ability to work well under pressure and prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines
