A vibrant and data-driven engineering firm in the heart of London is seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect. In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing scalable data solutions, leading data integration projects, and optimising data architecture across key platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Migration : Lead and manage data migration projects, ensuring high data integrity and minimal downtime.
  • Database Management : Design, implement, and maintain robust databases on Azure, using strong SQL skills for optimisation.
  • ETL Processes : Develop and refine ETL processes using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Data Integration : Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring a seamless flow and consistency across systems.
  • Data Architecture : Design scalable data architectures that align with business needs and enable growth.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with various teams to understand data requirements and provide effective solutions.
  • Documentation : Create and maintain detailed documentation of data architecture, workflows, and processes.
  • Team Leadership : Support and guide a junior team member, fostering a culture of growth and skill enhancement.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills :

  • Proficiency in SQL with experience in database design and optimisation.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Familiarity with Apache Airflow, with additional experience in Hadoop or Spark advantageous.

Experience :

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex data migration projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Soft Skills :

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Capacity to work effectively across teams.
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior staff is beneficial.

Additional Details

  • Hybrid Working : Minimum of 3 days per week in the central London office (candidates requiring visa sponsorship are not eligible).
