Are you a qualified Accountant looking for a part time position? Perhaps you’re interested in the creative industry and world of marketing too?


If so, we might have a position for you.


Lesniak Swann is a specialist B2B marketing and PR agency with offices in Stoke-on-Trent and Manchester. With the growth of the company, we now have a need for a Finance Manager to join the team. This position can be based at either office.


What we’re looking for


You will preferably be fully qualified and have 2 years plus professional services or agency finance experience in a similar role, taking full responsibility for the finance function of the business.


The role may also suit those returning to work after prior experience in something similar. It would be helpful if you are interested in the creative industry and the world of Marketing.


You will be joining a small, friendly, energetic, bright, highly engaged and fun team. We are all passionate about the work we do. You will be comfortable working on your own, but with direct access and contact with owners and senior advisors. As a member of a small team you will also be responsible for a series of non financial projects, which maybe a HR system or of a B Corp nature.


Your experience and skills

  • Qualified by experience or qualified Accountant
  • Over 2 years experience in project based businesses or professional services


As Finance Manager your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Reporting

  • Reporting
  • Overall responsibility for the financial systems and processes
  • Development and preparation of monthly management accounts to required standard
  • Ability to receive action points from Board meeting and develop progress against those actions in subsequent weeks and months


Transactions

Responsibility for:

  • Maintaining financial ledgers and books • Keeping client invoicing up to date
  • Monitoring Credit Control
  • Monitoring accounts payable
  • Payroll, including HMRC liaison
  • Liaison with year end advisors
  • VAT returns and payments
  • Developing and maintaining timesheet collection and subsequent profitability analysis

Other

As a member of a small team you will be expected to assist with a series of important office management projects, this may include developing an HR system, or helping with the B Corp status of the business.


In return we will provide:

  • An annual salary of between £25,000 and £30,000 per annum depending on experience for 3 days a week. We are open to discussion to how the 22.5hrs (3 days equivalent) could be split.
  • A pension contribution of 5%.
  • 25 days holiday (pro-rata) plus bank holidays (usually 33 days a year in total).
  • Additional time for Christmas closing – usually at least an extra 3 days (pro rata). • Flexible working with 50% of time spent in the office.
  • Bonus scheme based on personal and agency performance.
  • Charity work time matched by the firm meaning that if you give up your own time to raise money for our annual chosen charity we’ll give you the time back.
