Senior Technician – Wholesale Lloyd’s Broker

Salary up to £55,000 (depending on experience)

The Role :

As the Senior Technician, you will act as the #2 to the Head of Technical, supporting the processing side of the business. You will be joining a team split between Processing and Binders, where you will take responsibility for the processing side while working alongside your counterparts in Binders.

This role offers significant responsibility and an opportunity to make a real impact, ensuring efficient and accurate premium processing while liaising with clients and underwriters.


Key Responsibilities :

  • Processing premiums and bordereaux
  • Producing debit notes and closings
  • Compiling and monitoring premium warranties, arranging extensions where necessary
  • Liaising with clients and underwriters to ensure seamless communication and service
  • Handling a variety of insurance classes, including Property, Terrorism, Engineering, Fine Art, Marine Cargo, Marine Trade, GAP, Medmal, Warranty (excluding Marine, Aviation, and Energy)
  • Covering international territories: UK, North America, Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latam


Experience Needed:

  • Experience in a similar role within a Lloyd’s Broker or insurance environment is essential
  • Strong knowledge of processing premiums, bordereaux, and handling a variety of classes
  • Familiarity with the systems Xchanging and PPL is preferred but not essential
  • Team player with a positive attitude, ready to “muck in” and contribute to a growing business
  • Excellent communication skills to work closely with underwriters and clients
