To assist in managing the resources including materials, machinery, and operatives etc., adopting a customer-focused approach to the client and their representatives.This role is perfect for someone looking for a clear progression route to develop to a Build Manager.Specific DutiesAssist build manager with completing Programme of Works (POWs).Schedule defect visits and complete lessons learnt talks with field engineers and office staff.Update internal trackers and schedulesInput site data into internal and client systems where requiredDatabase downloads of client systems drawings/surveys/data sheetsComplete and arrange for the issue of method statements, risk assessments, Health & Safety Packs and Quality PlansPrepare handover packs (HOPs) and upload as directed within agreed SLA'sFind relevant quotes, and raise Purchase Orders (POs) for approvalRequest allocation of internal resourceCollate job pack information to issue to relevant operative team leadsGeneral support administration as requested by build manager.Ensure that the procedures and requirements as detailed within the Company Procedures and Quality Manual are implemented at all timesWork closely with the Commercial team to ensure they are aware of any financial impactLiaise with staff and operatives effectively and with respectFile creation and maintenance - electronic and hard copyAny other duties as assignedHealth and Safety ResponsibilitiesSet a good example to others by working safelyTake reasonable care of yourself and any other person who may be affected by your actions and omissionsAdopt a positive attitude, cooperate and assist the company in all aspects of Health, Safety and the EnvironmentUnderstand and help to implement all relevant health and safety policies and arrangements based upon the policies.Personal SkillsAble to work on own initiative and as part of a teamOrganisedTime management / ability to work to deadlinesAttention to detailGood telephone manner and communication skillsProblem-Solving skills, and positive outlookSelf-motivated and proactiveAbility to identify opportunities for process improvements to implement best practice in the teamAbility to develop, establish and maintain customer and internal relationshipsAbility to drive results through planning the delivery of the project within the project timescales, making decisions and providing solutions where appropriate.QualificationsTechnical SkillsGood level of IT skills including Excel and Site TrackerExperience working in the Telecommunications is essentialKnowledge in telecommunications specific materials and free-issue kit (FIK)Experience managing field engineer on-the-day queriesAdept at manipulating client tools/reports is not essential but is advantageousHealth and Safety Qualifications - not essential but desirable.Additional InformationBenefits: Bike to work schemeCompany pensionLife insuranceHealth Cash PlanWellness programmesThe ideal candidate would have: Previous experience as a project coordinator/ asst build manager within telecoms would be an advantage but not essential.Must be highly computer literate including Microsoft Office and confident in managing and working with large data setsThis job is a full-time permanent role, 8am-5pm Monday to Friday from either our North-West Office in Warrington or our Glasgow Office.Opportunity to spend time in and working closely with other departments will be provided to ensure the successful applicant gains a wide depth and breadth of experience and understanding of the company and industry
