Job Title: Property Surveyor (Reactive)

Location: Cardiff (properties across South Wales)
BRC are working with a housing association based in Cardiff who are currently recruiting for 2 Surveyors on a permanent basis. One role is focusing on Planned Major Works in relation to Decarbonisation and the other role is doing reactive day to day surveying. This is a small housing association with properties based across South Wales, predominately in Cardiff & surrounds, RCT, and the Gwent valley.
You will be responsible for an effective repairs and maintenance service to homes across South Wales, and to contribute to the long-term strategic planning for property services.
To establish a good working relationship with residents through regular scheme visits and repairs inspections
To provide technical knowledge and expertise, and to support Management Team by actively contributing to strategic discussions and planning,
To oversee vacant home inspections, liaising with Operations colleagues and arranging for required works to be carried out
To carry out day to day reactive repairs inspections when required and arrange for necessary works to be completed
Relevant HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in a construction related subject
Experience of undertaking stock condition surveying
Experience of working within the social housing sector
Experience of Health & Safety and compliance in social housing
Experience of engaging and managing contractors
Full driving licence with access to a vehicle with business insurance.
Competitive Salary
25 days annual leave increasing by one day each year to a maximum of 30 days, plus the designated statutory bank holidays. In addition, you will receive two ex gratia days to use at Christmas.
