What your job will be

The Data and Analytics team is playing an important role in Wealthify’s growth ambitions as it moves from start-up to scale-up.


We want to transform the way we communicate with our customers, gain a deeper understanding of their relationship with us including their digital journeys and we want to design new products and propositions that support them. We want to provide insight to the business that enables them to make the right strategic decisions.


Your expertise will help us to build a secure and scalable data infrastructure to help support these ambitions.


You will be developing efficient data pipelines for acquiring, processing, cleansing, and transforming diverse data sources for integration into our data platform.

You will work closely with data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.


Our data is in good shape. But you’ll support on a programme of work that brings all our data into one place, meaning less time is spent by analysts on data transformation and we can move more quickly from idea to insight. It’s a great chance to gain experience in the latest cutting edge Lakehouse technology and would suit someone looking to develop their experience in Data Engineering under the guidance of the Senior Data Engineer.


You will establish best practices, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.


We’re a small team so you’ll need to be hands on and prepared to get involved in a wide-range of activities.

We don’t need you to tick all these boxes (in fact we’d encourage you to apply even if you don’t), but this gives you an idea of what we are looking for:


  • 2+ years as a Data Engineer or Power BI developer, preferably in a start-up or fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Modelling Techniques, including Kimball star schema and medallion architecture
  • Intermediate SQL including T-SQL, views, stored procedures & indexing
  • Experience in the Microsoft BI Stack:
  • Azure SQL / Synapse Analytics / Fabric
  • SSAS / Power BI Data Modelling
  • SSRS / Paginated Reports
  • Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, Dataflows, Premium features)
  • ETL and Data Ingestion (e.g., Microsoft Flow/Power Automate, Azure Data Factory, SSIS)
  • Knowledge and experience working with databases, including optimising storage and query performance
  • The ability to assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
  • Experience working with data from external sources (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook etc.)
  • High level of verbal, written and presentation skills
