Responsibilities


My client has an impressive growth story, which is continuing as it further develops its FICC business for the UK and Europe. It's a very lean, highly entrepreneurial institution where the contribution to the business by members of the team, is highly visible to senior management and rewarded accordingly.


As part of their expansion, they need to hire an experienced Repo and Short Term interest Rate (Money Markets) Salesperson at either Associate or VP level, to join the team and focus on developing business in the rates Repo and Money Markets space on the shorter end of the curve. This will involve selling rates Repo and the full spectrum of short-term interest-rate products, working very closely with a senior FX Salesperson as a team, to develop the banks in these markets. Clients will encompass UK real money, hedge funds, institutional clients as well as official institutions.


This is an exciting to join a very lean, focused, highly entrepreneurial institution which is very much on the front foot in terms of taking their business forward. It is also an opportunity for someone who has experience of some but not all of STIR/MM products but solid experience on Repo, to be taught them on the job, in order to develop their career and market knowledge.


Qualifications


Candidates must have a minimum of two years experience selling Repo or Money Markets short-term interest-rate products or combination there of, to clients in UK. They need to be highly motivated, collegiate team players, who strive for perfection and have a hunger for success.


If a Candidate has solid experience on Repo plus some experience selling short term rates/money market products and wants to learn the full spectrum of products then they would be very welcome to apply.


Candidates should have a strong academic background and good quantitative skills would be a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is a proven track record of success selling rates products.


Candidates must have the right to work within the UK, and be fluent in English.
