And, whether you’re helping someone with limited mobility to learn to use an aid, offering emotional support to a confused or distressed resident or delivering care to someone at the end of their life, you’ll always have their well-being in mind above anything else.Duties are varied but will include.Supporting Residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with mealsHelping Residents with limited mobilityTaking responsibility for the wellbeing of Residents on and off site.A driving license with access to a vehicle would be advantageous but is not essential.Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas.
