Job Title: Lecturer in BA (Hons) Digital Marketing Management with Foundation Year

Location: UK Management College - Newcastle Campus

Job Purpose:

As a Lecturer in Digital Marketing at our UK Management College, you will develop, design, and deliver engaging learning materials for courses within the digital marketing discipline, fostering student success and ensuring academic quality. You will also contribute to digital marketing research, supporting the College's strategic goals and collaborating with industry partners.

Key Responsibilities

Student Learning Experience:

  1. Develop and teach courses on digital marketing topics, including SEO, social media strategy, content marketing, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
  2. Supervise student projects and placements, providing guidance on digital campaigns, analytics, and content creation.
  3. Continuously assess and enhance curriculum content to reflect industry trends and technological advancements.
  4. Provide constructive feedback on assignments and projects, promoting a practical understanding of digital marketing concepts.

Research and Scholarship:

5.      Engage in research and stay updated on trends in digital marketing, applying this knowledge to improve teaching methods.

6.      Publish relevant research in digital marketing or related fields, and contribute to ongoing studies within the College.

7.      Collaborate with industry to design research projects that inform digital marketing best practices and support student employability.

Industry Engagement and Networking:

8.      Develop partnerships with digital marketing professionals, participating in events that enhance the College’s visibility and foster placement opportunities for students.

9.      Coordinate industry workshops and invite guest speakers to expose students to real-world digital marketing applications.

Academic and Curriculum Administration:

10. Oversee admissions, timetabling, and assessments for digital marketing modules.

11. Manage curriculum updates and quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with College standards.

Student Mentorship and Pastoral Care:

12. Serve as a personal tutor, supporting students’ academic and personal growth, and referring them to additional resources when needed.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

  • A first degree and advanced degree in Digital Marketing or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to achieve one; a PhD is preferred or equivalent industry expertise.
  • Proven knowledge of digital marketing tools, data analytics, and online campaign management.

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in teaching or working in digital marketing, ideally with higher education curriculum development.
  • Record of impactful research or professional work in digital marketing.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners.

Professional Development:

Commitment to continuous learning in digital marketing advancements, teaching methodologies, and collaboration with College partners.

Special Requirements:
