Chartered Surveyor – Agency - London


Hartnell Taylor Cook is an independent Property Consultancy with experienced and dedicated agency teams in both London and Bristol advising on the acquisition, disposal, development and asset management of all asset classes throughout the UK.

The Agency & Development team in London has an immediate position available for an enthusiastic and driven MRICS qualified Surveyor


The successful candidate is expected to be a good communicator, self-motivated and have excellent attention to detail.


Key responsibilities:

  • Property inspections, marketing, reporting and research
  • Lettings, lease disposals and acquisitions (for retained and non-retained clients)
  • Freehold sales disposals and acquisitions (including development sites and investment properties)
  • Responding efficiently and effectively to enquires from clients and applicants
  • Site or investment identification for client requirements
  • Developing relationships and liaising with key contacts, including solicitors, accountants and other professional bodies
  • Building internal and external relationships
  • Managing and developing business from existing clients
  • Liaising with several other departments to ensure delivery of relevant service to all instructions and to clients
  • Develop new agency and client contacts in appropriate fields (primarily retail / trade counter but also general practice & development), to enable future business generation


Skills and Experience:

  • A proven track record and experience in commercial property
  • Knowledge and experience of undertaking lettings, disposals & acquisitions
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Adaptable and willing to work across different property sectors
  • Good attention to detail, with a strong numerical and written ability
  • Able to write clear, concise reports with well-argued conclusions & recommendations
  • Target driven, enthusiastic and able to work at pace
  • MRICS
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • It will be a distinct advantage if you have UK wide geographical knowledge of towns, particularly in London and the south east
