A great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Estimator to join CH4 Mechanical & Electrical Services Ltd.
As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical estimating, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, contractors, and clients.
M&E would be a great advantage
Roles & Responsibilities
Establish new tender opportunities.
Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate estimates for electrical services, including reactive and planned maintenance, refurbishment, and new installations.
Tender Preparation: Review tender documents, specifications, and client requirements to create comprehensive and competitive proposals.
Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys and assessments as needed to gather information for project costing and feasibility studies.
Supplier Liaison: Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes, ensuring best value for each project.
Cost Analysis: Perform detailed cost breakdowns and analysis, considering labour, materials, and subcontractor costs.
Bid Submission: Ensure timely submission of tenders, including attending pre-tender meetings and clarifications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Requirements
5 years of electrical estimating experience preferred.
Have good technical knowledge of electrical building services.
Be able to review and understand engineering specifications, work scopes and drawings
Proven experience as an estimator with an electrical background
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
