Job Title: Mechanical Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team at CH4 Mechanical & Electrical Services Ltd. As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate cost estimates for mechanical projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish new tender opportunities and prepare accurate estimates for mechanical services, including reactive and planned maintenance, refurbishment, and new installations.
  • Review tender documents, specifications, and client requirements to create comprehensive and competitive proposals.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments as needed to gather information for project costing and feasibility studies.
  • Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes, ensuring best value for each project.
  • Perform detailed cost breakdowns and analysis, considering labour, materials, and subcontractor costs.
  • Ensure timely submission of tenders, including attending pre-tender meetings and clarifications.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of mechanical estimating experience preferred.
  • Good technical knowledge of mechanical building services.
  • Ability to review and understand engineering specifications, work scopes, and drawings.
  • Proven experience as an estimator with a mechanical background.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
