Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Therapeutic SEMH School in Wandsworth, South West London

ASAP Start, Monday to Friday (term time only)

£95 - £100 PAYE Per Day

We’re looking for a dedicated Behaviour Learning Support Assistant to join an exceptional therapeutic school in Wandsworth. The school caters to students with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and other associated learning difficulties.

Role Overview:

* Location: Wandsworth

* Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

* Pay: £90 - £95 per day, paid directly through PAYE (no umbrella company)

* Class Size: Up to 10 students, with support from 1-2 other Teaching Assistants

* Trust-Building: Students may have faced past traumas or struggle to express emotions safely; building trust takes time and consistency.

* Emotional Resilience: Requires a calm, empathetic approach to help students navigate intense emotions.

Who We’re Looking For - Behaviour Learning Support:

* Skills: Strong behaviour management skills; Team Teach training is a bonus.

* Personal Qualities: Patience, empathy, and resilience are essential.

* Experience: Personal experience with SEN is highly valued; backgrounds in SEN or related care roles are a plus.
