An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Tooting, SW17. This role is focused on providing 1:1 support and leading small group interventions in a Year 4 class.

Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities

Work closely with the Year 4 class teacher to support pupils' learning and development.
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil, adapting strategies to meet their individual needs.
Lead small group interventions to support literacy, numeracy, and other key skills.
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to the class teacher and parents where necessary.

What the School is Looking For

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
Confidence in supporting pupils both 1:1 and in small groups.
A patient, nurturing approach with strong communication skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Availability to start in January and work 4 days per week.
