Job Title: Lead Site Manager with Strong M&E Bias - Hospital Refurbishment Project (£2m) Location: North London
Salary: £300 - £320 per day

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Site Manager with a strong Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) bias to oversee a high-profile £2m hospital refurbishment project based in North London. As the Lead Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of the project, managing both site activities and key M&E works, while maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety, and client satisfaction.
This role will commence on Monday the 16th December.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage, and motivate the site team, ensuring all activities are carried out efficiently and safely.
* Oversee all M&E aspects of the project, liaising with contractors and consultants to ensure specifications and standards are met.
* Ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
* Liaise with stakeholders including the client, contractors, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Manage and resolve issues on-site, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining a safe working environment.
* Oversee the procurement and scheduling of materials, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource management.
* Maintain accurate project records, including daily site reports, progress updates, and H&S documentation.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
* Review and monitor project budgets and costs, reporting any variances or concerns to senior management.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager with a strong background in M&E, preferably within healthcare, hospital, or similar sectors.
* Strong knowledge and experience in managing complex M&E installations, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
* Demonstrable experience of delivering refurbishment projects of £1m+ in value.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of contractors and subcontractors.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues effectively under pressure.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
* In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, CDM 2015, and other relevant industry standards.
* CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid qualifications are essential.
* M&E-related qualifications and/or a relevant construction degree or diploma would be advantageous.
