Description

BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Health, Safety and Quality Manager to work for an expanding North East based manufacturing business on a permanent basis located in North Shields.

This is a key role within the business, and will be dealing with all aspects of the site HSQ regulations, with particular focus towards review of overall process with a view to continue to drive improvements to achieve the groups vision of increasing their carbon footprint.

Key Benefits they offer:

* Salary range dependent on experience £40,000 to £45,000

* Full-time permanent position

* Working Hours - Mon to Thurs 8:00am - 5:00pm and Fri 8:00am – 4:00pm (30mins Lunch)

* Office Based

* Free on-site parking

* 25 days annual leave

* Closed from 23rd December to 2nd January every year

Key responsibilities

* Ensure the fulfilment of company Environmental (ISO 14001) , Health and Safety (ISO 45001), and Quality (ISO 9001) policies.

* Act as a advisor with Group Environment and Quality/Health and Safety management, implementing Group Guidelines and procedures.

* Arrange and conduct Internal Audits

* Arrange and manage External and Supplier Audits

* Ensure ongoing competence from site

* Act as the primary contact with regulators and stakeholders, such as company insurers and HSE.

* Perform other duties as reasonably required from time to time.

Skills, Knowledge And Experience Required

* Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental, ISO 45001 Health and Safety and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

* Experience within the Manufacturing or Engineering Sector

* Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail.

* Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks.

* Excellent organisational and time management skills.

* A positive attitude to dealing with people.

* Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual.

* Capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions
