Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Officer will include:
Support the planning and management of health and safety compliance across the organisation.
Offer guidance and assistance on health and safety matters to staff and leadership as needed.
Conduct routine inspections and ensure appropriate records are kept in accordance with requirements.The successful Health and Safety Officer will have:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. i.e., report writing
Excellent organisational skills, with high level of attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team, working effectively with people across a wide range of levels and responsibilities.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to organise and prioritise workload and work on own initiative.
Commitment to delivering excellent level of professional service.The organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
