Job Advertisement: Maintenance Operative (Temporary)

Location: L24 2SG

Contract Type: 3-month contract with the possibility of an extension.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 08:00 - 16:00

Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour PAYE

Role and Responsibilities:

To carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on the fabric of the building, its services, and grounds to ensure that the Care Centre is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order.

Report and action any known defects to appliances damaged furniture/equipment and any other potential hazards to Head Office via electronic fault reporting application.
Ensure the maintenance of the Care Centre's exterior, including:
Keep any sheds, outbuildings, and areas in which waste is stored clean and tidy.
Keep the front of the House tidy and presentable at all times
Where accessible keep all gutters and gulleys clear of all debris
Fire exit stairs to be clear from debris and regularly checked
Clear snow and grit the drive, paths and any areas to which Clients, Visitors or Staff Members have access.
Where applicable, cut the grass around the building and tend to any flowerbeds, hanging baskets etc.
Clean all signs/lighting outside the Care Centre.
External lighting working
CCTV cleaned regularlyRequirements:

General maintenance knowledge/experience e.g. minor electrical, plumbing, joinery work etc
Good communication skills
Confident team player
Ability to work independently and on own initiative
Willingness to receive training on current Health & Safety / EHO issues
Understanding of central heating systems, laundry equipment and hot & cold water systems
Knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations
