Job Summary

The Key Account Manager will play an essential role in expanding our business by managing key accounts, fostering industry partnerships, and securing new contracts. This is a prime opportunity for a professional with experience in the plumbing and heating sector, particularly in the merchant and contractor space. Applicants with an ASM/BDM background or those seeking to elevate their career in key account management are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

* Account Management: Build and strengthen relationships with M&E contractors, plumbing contractors, housing associations, and local authorities.

* Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to secure new contracts while optimizing current account opportunities.

* Collaboration: Work closely with internal sales and operations teams to ensure exceptional contract execution and client satisfaction.

* Market Expansion: Identify potential clients in the public and private sectors, focusing on the merchant, LA/HA, and contractor markets.

* Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to remain responsive to market changes and capitalize on opportunities.

* Performance Tracking: Report on key performance indicators, sales goals, and contract growth to senior management.

Key Requirements

* Industry Expertise: Proven experience in the plumbing and heating industry with established contacts among M&E contractors, plumbing contractors, housing associations, and local authorities.

* Sales/Specifications Background: 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally within the merchant and contractor sectors.

* Communication & Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate high-value contracts and communicate effectively.

* Independent & Collaborative: Self-driven with strong organizational skills, able to work independently while engaging effectively with team members.

* Leadership Experience: Regional Manager experience is advantageous but not required.

Ideal Candidate Profile

* Currently in a similar role, looking to manage larger, more strategic accounts.

* Regional or Sales Manager in the merchant or contractor space, ready to progress into key account management.
