Controls Engineer
Recruit 12 is looking for a Controls Engineer for a 12-month contract with our client in Kidlington. Our client is on a mission to lead the world in zero-emission power systems, developing and manufacturing technologies needed to decarbonize the planet, with a growing presence in the UK, US, and Australia, positioning itself as a global leader.

About the Role

As a Controls Engineer, you will provide vital control design expertise to the Control Systems Team, contributing to the development and implementation of control strategies for cutting-edge technologies.

What You Will Do:

Develop and specify control strategies to meet system requirements.
Derive and implement software requirements from system specifications using MATLAB/Simulink.
Collaborate with the team to ensure software meets project requirements and standards.
Support ISO26262 processes, ensuring traceability from requirements to implementation.
Assist with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) rig and system testing.
Contribute to the development of patentable intellectual property (IP).

About You:

Engineering qualification (HNC, Degree, or equivalent) with experience in automotive ECU software development.
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow and automatic code generation for algorithm development.
Experience developing embedded production software following ISO26262 processes is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of modelling techniques and test/measurement practices.
Knowledge of or experience with CANape, CANoe, or CANalyzer is a plus.
