Lab Technician

The primary objective of this position is to gain hands-on experience in the design and testing principles related to High Voltage (HV) cables and accessories. This will involve assisting with test setups in compliance with international standards, ensuring proper test execution, and accurately recording results.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn to safely operate complex electrical, mechanical, and materials testing equipment.
Assist in setting up tests, including the integration of process control instrumentation.
Familiarize yourself with and interpret international testing standards.
Support the execution of electrical tests following established procedures and international guidelines.
Contribute to general laboratory housekeeping and organization.
Monitor tests closely and record results with precision.
Help manage material inventories and control purchases.
Assist with the annual calibration of testing equipment.
Participate in plant maintenance activities as needed.
Engage in additional training, which may include day-release college/university education.
Prepare technical approval documentation for customer submissions.
Write technical reports related to testing and performance.Required Skills and Experience:
Technical qualification in Engineering, Mathematics, or Science (BTec or A level preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Office and good computer skills.
Self-motivated with strong manual and practical abilities, and high safety awareness.
Highly organized, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
