Job Description: Lab Technician for Materials Qualification

Hudson Shribman is seeking a skilled Lab Technician to join our team in the Materials Qualification department. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and qualification of new materials and formats with the laboratory function for Materials, Product Development Projects, Qualifications and Failure Investigation.

Key responsibilities include:
  • • Conducting laboratory and pilot line tests of materials, containers and ends • Evaluating container performance, physical and chemical testing • Working closely with project managers, material scientists and other technicians in the group to understand the correct testing to assess the material properties • Gathering, interpreting, and recording data using computers and online systems • Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting lab equipment and pilot line machinery • Delivering technical data in support of product development and quality assurance


Requirements: The successful candidate will have a degree in Chemistry or related field and relevant laboratory experience. A good understanding of materials science principles and practices is essential.

Salary: £60,000 per annum (pro-rata for contract duration) plus bonus based on performance.
