Our client, a leading organisation in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Network Service Manager to join their Information Management and Technology team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing services from strategic suppliers and internally delivered towers.
Ensuring service compliance, accessibility, and relevancy in terms of definition, cost, and performance.
Coordinating trials, product launches, and supporting communications and training.
Providing input to the service continuity planning process and implementing resulting plans.
Maintaining recognised knowledge in specialised areas and consolidating expertise from multiple sources.
Developing and maintaining procedures and documentation for databases and applications support.
Advising on Network Service security, licensing, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery needs.
Conducting formal reviews with suppliers to assess service performance and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.

Job Requirements:

Experience in supporting the delivery of medium-sized projects.
Good understanding of SIAM and ITIL processes.
Experience working with budgets and demonstrating financial control.
Ability to communicate complex issues to various stakeholders.
Understanding of current network infrastructure and products.
Experience working with or for outsourced service providers.
Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent experience in managing networks (e.g., HNC, Prince 2 Foundation, Computer Science Degree).
Trained to at least ITIL Foundation level, with appropriate ITIL Intermediate or other capability training.
