About the job:
 
Our client currently requires an Electronics Engineer responsible for design and development of electronics for instrumentation and acoustics applications. The role will include;
Mixed signal design including pre-amplifiers, filters, power supplies, interfacing, and analogue-digital conversion for precision instrumentation applications.
Microcontroller-based circuit design.
You will be expected to work independently or as a member of a team contributing to all aspects of the product development cycle from requirement analysis through design & development into production.
You will be expected to produce design documentation and test specifications.
About you:
As an Electronics Engineer your skills and qualifications will include:
BSc/BEng or equivalent experience in Engineering or similar
Expertise in analogue and digital circuit design preferably in an instrumentation development environment.
Some experience or knowledge of microcontroller-based circuit design and embedded software essential.
Some experience or knowledge of FPGA based circuit design is desirable.
IPC trained (training can be provided)
OrCAD design software or experience with similar tools.It will be helpful to have knowledge of:
•      Basic Analog components / circuits
•      Operational Amplifier circuits
•      Power supply technology
•      Circuit analysis, modelling, and theory
•      Analog-Digital Conversion
•      Interfacing and IO (e.g. I2C and SPI bus)
•      CAD Schematic layout
•      CAD PCB design
•      Fault finding
•      Assembler and/or embedded ‘C’
•      Use of PAL/FPGA technologies.
•      Linux and other OS
