About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Temporary Works Manager for a high-profile defence construction project. This role will oversee all aspects of temporary works, ensuring they are planned, designed, and implemented with utmost precision and in compliance with stringent safety standards.

As a key member of the project team, you’ll be responsible for leading temporary works processes from concept through to execution, coordinating closely with design, engineering, and site teams to manage risks, control costs, and meet deadlines. Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the planning, design, implementation, and removal of temporary works for the defence project.

* Act as the main point of contact for all temporary works-related matters, collaborating closely with design, engineering, and construction teams.

* Conduct and oversee thorough risk assessments, ensuring that all temporary works adhere to safety regulations and project standards.

* Develop and implement Temporary Works Plans, including design approvals, checking procedures, and inspections.

* Engage with subcontractors and third-party vendors to align temporary works requirements and ensure seamless integration within the project.

* Provide technical guidance, support, and training to project teams to promote best practices in temporary works.

About You:

* Qualifications: HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

* Experience: Proven experience managing temporary works on large-scale construction projects, ideally in the defence sector.

* Knowledge: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, including CDM, and experience in the application of BS5975.

* Skills: Excellent project management skills, with the ability to coordinate complex tasks across multiple teams.

* Certifications: CITB Temporary Works Coordinator or Temporary Works Supervisor certification preferred.

* Security Clearance: Must be eligible for and willing to obtain security clearance.
