We are seeking an experienced Construction Infrastructure Project Manager to join a major project at Devonport Docks in Plymouth. This is a contract role offering a competitive rate and the opportunity to work on a critical project with a leading contractor.

Job Description

As a Construction Infrastructure Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the project, including planning, coordination, and execution of works. You will supervise and coordinate the work of a team of site staff, including technicians, surveyors, and operatives. Ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards is crucial to your success.

You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety procedures and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Managing and resolving technical issues that arise on site, ensuring timely and efficient solutions, is also key to this role.

Key responsibilities include preparing and maintaining project documentation, including site surveys, drawings, reports, and safety records. Collaboration with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution is essential.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • A strong understanding of construction methods and processes, particularly within the infrastructure sector.
  • Experience working on complex projects, ideally within a naval dockyard or similar environment.

Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure are also required.
