Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Wellingborough, Northampton

School Type: 3-Form Entry Primary School

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

At Dunbar Education, we're excited to be helping a warm, inclusive, and community-driven primary school in Wellingborough find a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant who truly cares about making a difference. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to support children with additional needs in an environment that celebrates personal growth, teamwork, and professional development.

Why This School Could Be Perfect for You

Supportive Leadership Team: You'll be working with a leadership team that genuinely values every staff member. They're hands-on, friendly, and invested in creating a positive environment where you'll feel respected and encouraged to grow.
Room to Develop: This school sees professional development as essential. Whether you're looking to refine your skills or learn new ones, you'll have access to training and workshops to support you at every step.
Collaborative Culture: With three classes per year group, you'll work alongside a fantastic team of educators who believe in sharing ideas, supporting each other, and making sure that every child gets the best possible support.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your days will be filled with meaningful interactions and opportunities to help students achieve their best. You'll:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with special educational needs, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs.
Work alongside teachers to bring learning plans to life in ways that engage and inspire the children.
Be a source of emotional and social support, helping students build confidence and resilience in their learning journey.
Play an active role in creating a warm, inclusive classroom where every student feels they belong.

What We're Looking For:

You don't need years of experience-just a genuine passion for helping children with additional needs thrive. Ideally, you:
Have a positive, caring attitude and love working with children who need that extra bit of support.
Communicate easily and enjoy being part of a team that works together for each child's success.
Are open to learning, receptive to feedback, and eager to grow in a school that encourages development.
Have some background or experience in SEN support (helpful but not essential).
