This SEN school in Enfield is seeking a compassionate and organized Medical Welfare Officer to join our team. In this key role, you will ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our students, many of whom have complex medical needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first aid and medical support to students, staff, and visitors, ensuring timely and effective responses to medical incidents.
Manage and administer medication safely in line with school policy and individual care plans.
Collaborate closely with teaching staff, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic support for each student's medical needs.
Maintain accurate medical records, care plans, and incident reports, ensuring strict confidentiality.
Support the school's safeguarding and health policies, creating a safe, nurturing environment for all students.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications: A relevant medical qualification (e.g., First Aid, Nursing, or equivalent experience) is essential.
Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN or educational setting.
Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with a caring, empathetic approach. An understanding of SEN needs and medical protocols is highly desirable.
Flexibility: Ability to remain calm and effective in urgent situations, with a proactive and adaptable attitude.
