My client is a leading provider of advanced security solutions designed specifically for the construction industry. We specialise in delivering innovative CCTV systems, access control, intercoms, and intruder detection technologies that safeguard construction sites, infrastructure projects, and large-scale developments. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with experience in security systems to drive new business and strengthen relationships within this sector.
Role Overview:
As the Business Development Manager, you will focus on expanding our client base and promoting our full range of security solutions tailored to construction sites and projects. You will identify new opportunities, build long-term relationships with construction firms, contractors, developers, and site managers, and deliver bespoke security solutions that meet the unique challenges faced in construction environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and target new business opportunities within the construction sector, focusing on security solutions such as CCTV, access control, intercoms, and intruder detection systems for construction sites.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including construction companies, developers, contractors, and site managers, offering security solutions that ensure site safety and asset protection.
* Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact through to contract negotiations and project delivery, ensuring our security solutions are seamlessly integrated into construction projects.
* Collaborate with technical teams to develop bespoke security proposals that address the specific needs of each construction site, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and site safety standards.
* Stay informed on construction trends and regulations to position our solutions as essential for site security, theft prevention, and worker safety.
* Meet and exceed sales targets, contributing to the company’s expansion within the construction industry.
* Represent the company at industry-specific events, construction exhibitions, and networking opportunities to generate new leads and promote our security solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience in business development or sales with knowledge on the security industry, with a strong focus on providing solutions for the construction sector (CCTV, access control, intercoms, and intruder detection).
* Established network of contacts in the construction industry will be provided, including developers, contractors, and project managers.
* Ability to explain and present complex security systems in a way that addresses the specific concerns of construction professionals, including site safety, theft prevention, and access control.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage at all levels, from site managers to senior leadership within construction companies.
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently while aligning with the company’s growth objectives.
* Full driving licence and willingness to travel to construction sites and industry events.
