Job Opportunity: Import/Export Trailer Controller

Location: Aberdeen

Key Responsibilities

As an Import/Export Trailer Controller, your tasks will include:

Coordinating trailer imports and exports to Scandinavia and Holland.
Managing a busy office environment while balancing conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.
Planning and determining optimal shipment routes, considering costs, transit times, and the nature of goods.
Negotiating transportation rates and preparing accurate quotes for clients.
Handling documentation to meet customs, insurance, and packing requirements.
Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and fiscal policies.
Staying updated on legislation, political developments, and other factors affecting freight movement.
Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Acting as a customs broker to facilitate smooth and compliant freight processing.Your Profile

Experience:

Essential: A solid understanding of the freight forwarding industry.
Desirable: 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.Personal Attributes:
