Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for problem-solving and a drive to keep production lines running smoothly? Our packaging partner in the North of England is seeking a talented Field Service Engineer with either a mechanical or electrical background to join their dynamic team. 

What you will do: 

Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of packaging equipment 
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in packaging machinery 
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance 
Provide technical support and training to clients on proper equipment usage 
Complete accurate service reports and maintain detailed documentation 
 What you will have: 

Field Service Experience: Hands-on technical experience with electro-mechanical systems, ideally within the packaging industry or a similar field. This includes roles such as electrical or electronic technician, field service repair of machinery, or maintenance repair. 
Technical Skills: Proficiency in fault diagnosis, particularly with PLC logic, and experience working with machine and electrical parts, components, and assembly 
Minimum 3 years' experience in a field service role, preferably in the packaging industry 
Strong electrical/mechanical technical skills, including the ability to read blueprints and schematics Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the region 
HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
