As the School Catering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school kitchen, ensuring the provision of high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary needs of the students. Your expertise in cooking and your strong management skills will allow you to create a positive dining experience for the students while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

The Key Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a school or institutional catering setting
Minimum of an NVQ in Cookery/Hospitality is preferred
Coordinate menu planning, taking into account nutritional guidelines, dietary requirements, and budget constraints
Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a team
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, and the ability to implement and maintain strict standards
Establish strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring the availability of fresh and quality ingredients
Maintain accurate records of stock levels, financial transactions, and staff schedules
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
