Job Description
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in the engineering team, preferably with an electrical bias, ensuring effective maintenance to cover the factory. Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining plant and equipment to meet business and legal standards.
* Improving machine efficiency and preventing unplanned downtime.
* Developing and supporting the Planned Preventative Maintenance System with recommendations for improvements.
* Completing checklists to ensure adherence to maintenance plans.
* Supporting the introduction of new manufacturing equipment and services.
* Liaising with equipment suppliers and contractors for repairs and breakdowns.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Electrical/Mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
* Proficiency in PLC programming and interrogation (Siemens S7/S5, Allen Bradley, Omron, Yaskawa).
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate.
* Experience with load cell tension control and working with three-phase/single-phase circuits.
* Ability to work at heights using access equipment.
* ONC qualification in a relevant discipline.
Desirable:
* HNC qualification.
* IOSH or Health & Safety certification.
* Compex (DSEAR) qualification.
* Valid UK driving licence (preferred).
