Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services Design / MEP

Building Services / Consultancy / Electrical / Design Engineer / MEP

This specialist building services design consultancy work in sectors including, commercial, healthcare, data centres and education. They have a strong established client base including many halo businesses, so are looking for an engineer with the ability to maintain good relationships and help clients reach their aspirations.

The Role & Responsibilities

* Establishing and developing the design of engineering solutions and systems

* Preparing concept plans and briefs for projects

* Producing reports in support of the design concepts with regard to compliance with standards and best practice

* Liaising with others in the design team and CAD team.

* Inspecting installations and reviewing progress quality and performance tests

* Supporting the design team and client with regard to operation and ongoing maintenance

* Preparing detail design project specifications

* Participating in client and project meetings

* Reporting to clients on progress and project related items

* Carry out or review electrical design calculations

Skills Required

* You should be educated to degree level in electrical engineering, building services engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years UK industry experience.

* Project experience preferred within several market sectors.

* To be competent in the use of industry design and drawing software
