We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team within Vistry Kent, at our West Malling office. As our Assistant Commercial Finance Analyst, you will support the Regional Finance Manager and Regional Finance Director in providing financial and commercial analysis to ensure that the region can progress towards achieving its objectives. You will also assist in the provision of internal and external reporting and financial control.

Strong academic record
Strong GCSE/A-levels or equivalent
Working towards recognized accountancy qualification or desire to begin studying ACCA/CIMA
Able to process information accurately to strict deadlines
Ability to follow up queries proactively and resolve them satisfactorily
Previous experience as a Finance Graduate / Finance Assistant within a reputable organisation
Very good understanding of Microsoft Office, Outlook and particularly Excel is vital
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Strong mathematical and IT skills
Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy
Good understanding of business
Ability to explain technical financial information clearly to non-finance people
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Attention to detail
Able to communicate to individuals at all levels

Experience working in a similar role, particularly for a residential house builder
Knowledge of the housebuilding industry

Support with the production of budgets, forecasts and monthly management accounts to strict deadlines.
Completion of regular weekly and monthly management information.
Monitor regional performance against management plans to ensure that all results, trends and risks are clearly understood and communicated.
Raising of Contract Sales invoices.
Regular chasing and reporting of outstanding debtors.
Drawdowns and Distributions preparation.
Cashflow reporting preparation.
Support with the collation of Audit data.
Assist with payment run processing.
Maintain and update the regional financial systems and assist in their development.
